Miriam Schaer-Book workshop and lecture at Camden County College! by Miriam Schaer

I will be a visiting artist at Camden County College on Wednesday September 28! There will be a simple book structures workshop from 1-4 pm in Lincoln Hall (room L-09) and I will give a talk about my work from 6-7 pm in the Connector Building Room CON-101, all on the Blackwood Campus, College Dr, Blackwood, NJ 08012

I am so pleased to be showing a number of book works in Materiality and the Layered (eye), with Phyllis Bramson, Aimee Beaubien, Douglas Stapleton and Sandra Perlow at the Evanston Art Center, curated by Marilyn Propp. The Opening reception will be Sunday April 24 from 1-4pm   Marilyn Propp will present a lecture, "The History of Collage as Social, Political, and Personal Expression" on Thursday evening, May 26, and there will be an artist'spanel discussion on Sunday, May 1.

Miriam Schaer will present Craft Power, her project about working with women from the Republic of Georgia, with her collaborator Melissa Hilliard Potter, on the panel Allies or Aliens: Collaborating Across Cultures, during Open Engagement:Power at the Oakland Museum of California. The conference theme is Power. Janet Goldner and Laura Anderson Barbata, will also be discussing their projects on the panel.

Open Engagement 2016 — POWER will take place April 29–May 1, 2016 at the Oakland Museum of California and additional sites throughout the Bay Area.
