Babies (Not) on Board: The Last Prejudice?

Babies (Not) On Board addresses the question of why women who choose maternal independence over child-rearing angers or offends so many people and institutions. The works are comprised of large photographs of the artist (me) surrounded by baby dolls adorned in clothing embroidered with disparaging comments about childless women. The comments were made directly to myself and to women I interviewed for this project.
