			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Eight <a href="http://www.colum.edu/Academics/Interarts/interdisciplinary-arts/index.php" target="_blank">Interarts</a> Grad students participated in the test pilot workshop Melissa Potter and I ran, in preparation of our upcoming project <em>Crafting Women&#8217;s Stories: Lives in Georgian Felt.</em> This project is being supported by a <a href="http://www.opensocietyfoundations.org/" target="_blank">Soros Arts and Culture Grant</a>. Traveling to the Republic of Georgia, along with our colleague Clifton Meador in December, we will be running workshops with various women&#8217;s groups in Tblisi, as well as the Kakheti and Tusheti regions. We are partnering with <a href="http://www.womenfundgeorgia.org/?lan=en" target="_blank">The Women&#8217;s Fund of Georgia</a></p>

<p>Selections from my series, Rules of Engagement are included in Word 6: An Architecture of Multi-Modal Poetry and Text. Curated by S&#8217;Marie Clay, the exhibition focuses on the idea of a  home inhabited by poetry/text that hangs, opens, closes, locks, rusts, plays loud enough to wake the neighbors, bakes rings, burns, drips, melts, fits, and bursts from the seams.</p>

<p>The exhibition will be up from Nov 1, 2012  till January 11, 2013. There is a reception for the artists, along with poetry readings on Monday November 19, from 5-7 pm.</p>
