Baby (Not) On Board was selected from more than 600 applications world wide to be included in Your Voices:On Motherhood for the International Museum of Women’s on-line exhibition. The exhibition will be up until January 18, and then it will be folded into Mama: Motherhood Around the Globe.

The most current piece in the series, shown above, will be included in Toys & Games with a Twist, at the Longwood Gallery of Art, at Hostos in the Bronx, curated by Juanita Lanzo. The work was selected as part of Curate NYC 2011, from more than 1500 entries! The exhibition will be on view from December 7, 2011 – February 1, 2012 Longwood Art Gallery | Hostos

Totally Handmade, a three person show of artists books in New York

Totally Handmade, features the work of Miriam Schaer, Barbara Mauriello and Yvonne Lamar-Rogers. Organized by Gallery Director Millie Burns, the show will be on view at the Hewitt Gallery of Art, Marymount Manhattan College from Nov 7-Nov 30.

Notes of a Dubious Daughter, included in Entering the Picture, published by Routledge

I am very pleased to let you know my essay, Notes Of A Dubious Daughter: My Unfinished Journey Toward Feminism, is included in Entering the Picture: Judy Chicago, The Fresno Feminist Art Program, and the Collective Visions of Women Artists, Edited by Jill Fields, and published by Routledge. I will be in LA for the first Book Party and signing on October 1 at Otis College of Art and Design, in the Ben Maltz Gallery. There are several events in the Women’s Building beginning at 4 pm, and the book signing is from 5-7. If you are in the area, please stop by!

I was surprised and honored to find that my work was cited in the section on Artists’ Books in this recently published incredibly comprehensive 2 volume set that looks at all aspects of the book from the history of print and paper, to new technologies. You can find the section that cites my work on page 485!

I am very pleased to have work included in Text, an exhibition curated by Susan Fleminger, at 440 Gallery in Park Slope, Brooklyn. The work included is from my series Baby (not) on Board: The Last Prejudice?
